Looks like I am going back to India in a few weeks... I plan to travel for the month of Oct, either around the south or possible spend some time in Varansi. I am interested in going to Auroville, and possible Ramand Marashi's ashram... But I'm flexible.. I am doing a training that starts the first of nov, outside of Bombay, and that is all I know for sure.
I was there 4 years ago and traveled alone and swore to myself I would never do it again, but hey here I go....thanks.. Aradia

Mon, September 5, 2005 - 5:19 AMoctober is a pleasant month in India.as temp is not so high in south India and Auroville is a nice place and near the coast.Varanasi is the most ancient city of India and its the centre for learning music ,culture and dance.

in Mysore ( karnataka) second october grand festival begins...people from all over the world come to see this...Mysore palace is betifully decorated and illuminated in this festival time....

roughly 200 kms away from Mumbai ( Bombay )
you will be required to stay for 14 days ..... dont want to say more
but it would be wonderful if you are interested in art of living , yoga , medition, spiritulasation..... etc

south indian cuisine is unique...don't miss Mysore, hampi, kerala,chennai....
plz avoid south kerala, because a mosquitoinfested epidemic is spreading fatal fever there...otherwise backwater cruise is nice....plz go to sivananda ashram , neyyardam, trivandrum...., somatheeram, ( near chowara, kovalam beach trivandrum, kerala) ayurvedic village......kozhikode is a coastal town , fresh fish curry , you will get.....crab, mackarel, sardine, ........................at kannur, there is fort...arabian sea........and near it...coorg district...coffee plantations......lush paddy field....local folks' customs....cuisine.....home stay.....Mysore is awesome..................................prem from south india -
